The Little Sisters of the Poor – St. Louis Home will be hosting our annual Lenten weekly evenings of service and prayer. On each Thursday evening during Lent, we invite you to join us in serving our elderly Residents their evening meal at 6 p.m. At 7:30, we begin a Holy Hour consisting of adoration, listening to the Word of God, night prayer and benediction. The dates chosen are February 18 & 25 and March 4, 11, 18 & 25. The evenings are open to young men and women aged 18-35. Please call Sr. Maria at 314-421-6022 or email vcstlouis@littlesistersofthepoor.org to register. Since 1869, the Little Sisters of the Poor have cared for thousands of St. Louis’ needy elderly in a homelike setting of various distinct environments: Independent “Home” Living, Senior Apartments, Nursing Care and a Senior Day Center. The residents come to the home with limited financial resources. Much of the funding is provided through donations and special events. |
