This installation will feature a selection of large African ceremonial textiles shown in their entirety. African Ceremonial Cloths will present a variety of techniques and materials such as bark cloth, resist dyeing, stenciling, strip weaving, embroidery and woven patterning. The exhibition also brings together works that represent groups from West Africa, Central Africa and East Africa.
